Heidi grew up on the Upstate NY/Vermont border and her husband Brett grew up in Kentucky. They met on Hilton Head Island in the early 90’s where Brett is a teaching golf professional. Heidi and Brett have twin 20-year-old sons… Wayne followed the college route to Clemson (Go Tigers!) and Alec joined the work force. The Toon Family has two rescue dogs - Rosie and Lilly, a rescue rabbit - Romeo and an Albino African Clawed Frog named Kermit.

Heidi loves to garden. Living down south lets you do that year-round! Vegetables, fresh herbs, blueberries, blackberries, orange trees, lemon trees… “digging in the dirt brings me peace”. The Toons are very active with The Church of the Cross. Heidi retired from her 10+ years of teaching Sunday School with Alec picking up where she left off. They love NASCAR, college football and are huge Atlanta Braves fans!

Heidi joined KGWP in December of 2017 and is the voice on the phone in the South Carolina office.
